Two Nuveen Closed-End Funds Announce Portfolio Manager Updates

By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Investment Weekly News -- The Nuveen Diversified Dividend and Income Fund (NYSE: JDD) and the Nuveen Tax-Advantaged Total Return Strategy Fund (NYSE: JTA) have updated their portfolio management teams. Effective immediately, Scott Caraher joins the funds' current portfolio management teams and will focus on the portions of the funds managed by Symphony, an affiliate of Nuveen. The funds' investment objectives, investment strategies and management philosophy remain unchanged.

Scott Caraher, Co-Portfolio Manager, is a member of Symphony's fixed-income team and his responsibilities include portfolio management and trading for Symphony's bank loan strategies and credit and equity research for its fixed-income strategies. Prior to joining Symphony in 2002, Mr. Caraher was an Investment Banking Analyst in the industrial group at Deutsche Banc Alex Brown in New York. Mr. Caraher received a BS in finance from Georgetown University.
