Dec. 26--Twin brothers died in a Rossville house fire this afternoon, Walker County Coroner Dewayne Wilson said.
The men, who were 24, have not been publicly identified at this time. Wilson said investigators with his office, the county fire department and the Georgia Office of Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner are at the scene.
Walker County Spokesman Joe Legge said county emergency services workers received a call about the fire at 2:14 p.m. inside an addition to a manufactured home in the 1400 block of Dry Valley Road. This is in the southwestern part of Rossville, near Chattanooga Valley and next to Dry Valley Baptist Church.
Legge said when firefighters arrived, they found the home was "roughly 30 percent involved."
Wilson said he wasn't sure what started the fire or whether other people were in the home at the time.
The two men's bodies were in a heavily burnt section, Legge said.
"It gutted the whole end of the structure," Wilson said.
Georgia Bureau of Investigation medical examiners will perform autopsies.
