Business Wire

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) today launched a new podcast, “The Next Big Thing in Health,” where America’s top health care leaders will take a deep dive into the big ideas and new solutions to help patients and improve care. The podcast features insights, growing trends and perspectives from leading innovators who are finding new, more effective ways to deliver more value and better care for patients. The new podcast will be hosted by AHIP President & CEO Matt Eyles and former Fox 5 Anchor Laura Evans.

The first two episodes of “The Next Big Thing in Health” are now available on iTunes, Spotify, Soundcloud and Stitcher.

Future episodes will be released throughout the fall, with CEOs, senior health care officials and other health care leaders convening to discuss how to make high-quality health care more accessible, affordable and simpler.

Topics for Season One of “The Next Big Thing in Health” include:

  • Medicare For All & Health Care’s Path Forward: Featuring Matt Eyles, President & CEO, AHIP
  • Men, Millennials & The Changing Face of Caregiving: Featuring Susan C. Reinhard, Senior Vice President & Director, AARP Public Policy Institute

“This is a critical moment to understand and shape what comes next for our industry and how we deliver value to the people we serve. We’re thrilled to launch ‘The Next Big Thing in Health’ as a way to contribute to that essential conversation,” said Matt Eyles, AHIP President & CEO and co-host of the podcast. “Everyone deserves access to high-quality, affordable health care. By shining a light on the biggest ideas and top leaders in health care, we’re gaining insight into what’s driving our industry and what will deliver better value and better care for all Americans.”

“No issue is more hotly debated, more important to our economy and more personal to Americans than health care,” said Laura Evans, co-host of the podcast. “With the launch of this new podcast, we’re bringing together industry experts, policymakers, academics and thought leaders to discuss the big ideas shaping our nation’s health care system.”

The first season of “The Next Big Thing in Health” is sponsored by Accenture, helping health insurers transform with intelligent automation.”
