HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) _ The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. (HIG) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter profit of $729 million.
On a per-share basis, the Hartford, Connecticut-based company said it had net income of $2.10. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, were $2.02 per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.52 per share.
The insurance and financial services company posted revenue of $5.82 billion in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $3.7 billion.
