The Fidato Group Announces Course “Retirement Planning Today®” at Lorain County Community College

PR Newswire iReach

STRONGSVILLE, Ohio, Sept. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The Fidato Group announced an educational course later this month, titled Retirement Planning Today®, which will be led by Founder and CEO, Tony D'Amico and held at Lorain County Community College in Elyria. The two-session course will be offered on two consecutive Wednesdays (September 30 and October 7) and on two consecutive Tuesdays (October 6 and 13) from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. D'Amico urges readers to take the time needed to craft a well thought out retirement plan and put it into action. "We are happy to be offering this two-session course to fill the demand for financial education. The earlier you begin to plan your financial plan the better, but it is never too late to reevaluate your current retirement strategies," D'Amico said. The same two-session course will also be offered at the LCCC Midpoint Campus in Brunswick on consecutive Thursdays (October 8 and 15) and consecutive Wednesdays (October 14 and 21), also from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

During this two-session course, students will learn how to define retirement goals and identify practical information that they can apply immediately in their personal lives. This educational course covers the complete planning process for attendees, including creating their own goals for a "successful retirement," determining the amount of money they need to retire, eliminating debt, and improving cash flow.  Students will also hear how to properly convert an IRA to a Roth IRA, select the proper retirement plan distribution choice, and plan their retirement income to preserve a comfortable standard of living, according to the course brochure. "You can find trendy financial news almost anywhere but it is difficult to use this information to make informed decisions and create a plan for your retirement. This course is designed to save you time by delivering comprehensive, objective knowledge you can easily apply to your situation. When it comes to important subjects like retirement planning, it makes sense to learn from a reliable, trusted source," D'Amico said.

The Center for Retirement Research at Boston College estimates that more than half of all American households will not have enough retirement income to maintain the living standards they were accustomed to before retirement, even if the members of the household work until age 65, two years longer than the average retirement age today.

"Realizing this is a national issue, as well as a pressing need in the counties we serve, we're honored to welcome back Mr. D'Amico to present these courses at both our main campus in Elyria and at LCCC Midpoint Campus Center in Brunswick. This will be an opportunity for members of our communities to learn about important aspects of retirement planning, and attend a course that is beneficial to our communities through the Center for LifeLong Learning," remarked Jennifer Krupa, Program Coordinator Center for Lifelong Learning at Lorain County Community College. Class sizes are limited. Students may bring a spouse or a guest at no additional charge. The tuition includes one 224-page workbook. To register for the course, please call (440) 328-8382.
