The enterprises had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit and not subsidiaries or divisions of other entities.The minimum revenue requirement for 2013 is $100,000 and for 2016 $2 million. This prestigious list is a public recognition of the nation's most successful private companies which operate within the economy's most dynamic segment, independent small and mid-sized businesses.
