Southland crime: Arrest made in smash and grab burglaries in Homewood, more

Dec. 24--Orland Park

WARRANT SERVICE: Camira T. Rogers, 30, 1300 block of Seeley Avenue, Ford Heights, was taken into custody Dec. 7 in the 16100 block of LaGrange Road on an undisclosed Will County warrant, police said.

NARCOTICS: James T. Snyder, 34, 5700 block of Lancaster Drive, Oak Forest, was arrested and accused of driving without a valid license, driving without insurance and no rear registration plate light, cannabis possession and possessing drug paraphernalia Dec. 8 in the 8200 block of 159th Street police said.

CHILD NEGLECT: Esperanza Rodriguez-Salgado, 27, 13500 block of Chatham Street, Blue Island, was charged with leaving two young children unattended Dec. 9 in a retail parking lot in the 15700 block of LaGrange Road after an officer, responding to a complaint witnessed the youngsters alone in a locked vehicle for 10 minutes, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Alphonso P. Allison Jr., 23, first block of Carriageway Drive, Hazel Crest, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, speeding, failing to signal and possessing one gram of marijuana Dec. 11 in the 15600 block of LaGrange Road, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: Antoinette Tate, 24, 14600 block of Myrtle Avenue, Harvey, was arrested and accused of retail theft Dec. 11 at Express, 728 Orland Square Drive, police said.

PUBLIC INDECENCY: Nathan A. Hackett, 19, 14000 block of John Humphrey Drive, Orland Park, was arrested Dec. 12 in that block and accused of public indecency at Orland Square Mall where he had exposed himself to a woman in a parking lot, police said.

VANDALISM: Richard S. Palmsone, 20, 6200 block of Washington Street, Chicago Ridge, turned himself into police Dec. 12 to face an accusation of criminally damaging property Dec. 8 after a vehicle was damaged in a restaurant parking lot in the 7100 block of 159th Street, police said.

WARRANT SERVICE: Jesse Granda-Roman, 23, Chicago, was taken into custody on a Cook County warrant for failing to appear in court on a suspended-license charge Dec. 13 in a retail parking lot in the 7300 block of 159th street, police said. In a related action, Jose Granda, 31, Chicago, was taken into custody on a Chicago retail-theft warrant at 159th Street and 76th Avenue, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: Jacquline L. Robinson, 30, 13800 block of LaSalle Street, Riverdale, was arrested and accused of retail theft Dec. 13 at JC Penney, 3 Orland Square Drive, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: Marlyn C. Villalobos, 48, 9700 block of Crescent Circle, Orland Park, was arrested and accused of retail theft Dec. 13 at Macy's, 1 Orland Square Drive, police said.

OBSTRUCTION: Adel Atich, 44, 5800 block of Geneva Drive, Tinley Park, was arrested and accused of obstructing a peace officer and reckless driving Dec. 15 in the Orland Square Mall parking lot, police said.

Tinley Park

CAR BURGLARY: A locked car's window was smashed and a purse stolen from a seat Dec. 17 at a funeral home in the 16600 block of Oak Park Avenue. Credit cards taken from the purse were used in several fraudulent transactions.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Kamil M. Lipka, 29, undisclosed block of 162nd Place, Tinley Park, was arrested and accused of domestic battery Dec. 19 in that block, police said.

Country Club Hills

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Tonita M. Gary, 27, Lansing, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, running a stop sign, driving without insurance and suspended registration Dec. 12 at 167th Place and Briargate Drive, police said.

STOLEN VEHICLE: Emory D. Robinson, 18, 18600 block of Cedar Avenue, Country Club Hills, and a 17-year-old from Markham were arrested Dec. 12 and accused of criminal trespass to a motor vehicle after they were found inside a car that disappeared from the 17500 block of Willow Avenue where its owner had been warming it up, police said.

NO LICENSE: Julius A. Hooker, 29, 17400 block of Eastgate Drive, Country Club Hills, was arrested and accused of driving without a valid license Dec. 13 after officers were called to a retail parking lot in the 4000 block of 168th Place while his car was being repossessed, police said.

INTOXICATION: Ramone L. Smith, 32, Rockford, was arrested and accused of being an intoxicated pedestrian Dec. 15 in the 18900 block of Anthony Avenue, police said.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY: Christopher R. Adams, 19, 14600 block of Princeton Avenue, Dolton, and Isaac Poole, 18, 14900 block of Albany Avenue, Markham, were arrested and accused of burglary Dec. 15 at a home in the 17100 block of Apple Tree Drive, police said.

Homewood

BURGLARY ARREST: Bernard Barfield, 21, 4600 block of 189th Street, Country Club Hills, was arrested between Dec. 5 and 14 in connection with a recent rash of burglaries -- most of which are believed to have involved at least one juvenile accomplice, police said. Barfield is accused of burglarizing Best Buy, 17800 Halsted St., on Nov. 26; Big Lots, 3055 183rd St., Lorenz Appliances, 18320 Governors Highway, and Edible Arrangements, 18312 Governors Highway, on Nov. 27; Pride Cleaners, 18330 Governors Highway, on Dec. 2, and the Mobil gas station, 2138 183rd St., on Dec. 3, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Steve Florence, 28, 16900 Block of Page Avenue, Hazel Crest, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, speeding and driving without insurance Dec. 13 in the 2200 block of 175th Street, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Jonathan Carter, 32, Chicago, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license Dec. 14 at 183rd and Halsted streets, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Kelly Henderson, 31, first block of Elmwood Drive, Chicago Heights, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license Dec. 14 at 183rd Street and Stewart Avenue, police said.

DUI: Alberto Zamora Jimenez, 38, 100 block of 25th Street, Chicago Heights, was arrested and accused of drunken driving with a blood-alcohol concentration above the legal limit and improper lane use Dec. 14 in the 18200 block of Dixie Highway, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Sonya Crayton, 28, first block of Monee Court, Park Forest, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, improper lighting and driving without insurance Dec. 15 at Harwood Avenue and Heather Road, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: Aaron Pitts, 48, 4200 block of Sauk Trail, Richton Park, was arrested and accused of retail theft Dec. 15 at Target, 17605 Halsted St., police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Marcus Washington, 47, first block of Sunset Drive, Glenwood, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license and failing to reduce speed to avoid a collision Dec. 15 in the 17500 block of Halsted Street, police said.

TRESPASSING: Cara Lawlor, 29, 1200 Block of Olive Road, Homewood, was arrested and accused of criminal trespass to real property during a Dec. 16 retail-theft investigation at Kohl's, 17620 Halsted St., police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Vanessa McLemore, 45, Portage, Ind., was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license and improper lighting Dec. 16 at 183rd Street and Dixie Highway, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Darcy Kent, 56, 15300 block Haney Road, South Holland, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, driving without insurance and a malfunctioning taillight Dec. 18 in the 17700 block of Halsted Street, police said.

FIREARM ARREST: Shaun Hester, 24, 700 block of Grant Avenue, Chicago Heights, was arrested and accused of unlawfully possessing a weapon, possessing cannabis with intent to deliver and possessing up to 100 grams of cannabis after officers recovered nearly 50 grams of marijuana, a digital scale, clear plastic sandwich bags and a handgun during a Dec. 18 crash investigation at 183rd Street and Harwood Avenue, police said.

Oak Lawn

NO LICENSE: Amador Simental, 70, Cicero, was arrested and accused of driving without a valid license and improper turning Dec. 5 in the 8800 block of Cicero Avenue, police said.

WARRANT SERVICE: Kuwuan M. Allen, 28, 18800 block of Oakwood Avenue, Country Club Hills, was taken into custody on an undisclosed warrant Dec. 10 at the Country Club Hills police station, police said.

NARCOTICS: Lucas S. Christian, 23, 10500 block of Kedvale Avenue, Oak Lawn, was arrested and accused of illegally possessing a controlled substance with intent to deliver, manufacture/deliver of more than 30 grams of cannabis, possessing more than 100 grams of cannabis and possessing drug equipment during a Dec. 10 traffic stop at 95th Street and Parkside Avenue after he was found to have undisclosed materials, police said.

WARRANT SERVICE: Cindy L. Sweeney, 46, 8800 block of Francisco Avenue, Evergreen Park, was taken into custody on an undisclosed warrant Dec. 12 in the 9400 block of Raymond Avenue, police said.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Abdul S. Awad, 18, was arrested and accused of disorderly conduct Dec. 13 in the 10600 block of Central Avenue, police said.

RESISTING: Edward P. Bernard, 51, Midlothian, was arrested and accused of resisting a peace officer during a Dec. 12 retail-theft investigation in the 14500 block of Lamon Street, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Daniel B. Curtis, 35, 9900 block of Cicero Avenue, Oak Lawn, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, improper turning and failing to update driver's license information Dec. 13 at 96th Street and Cicero Avenue, police said.

NO LICENSE: Domonique Jacobs, 27, Chicago, was arrested and accused of driving without a driver's license, driving without insurance and failing to report a collision to police Dec. 13 in the 5600 block of 111th Street, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Luis Mendoza, 63, 13400 block of Rexford Street, Blue Island, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license and improperly displaying license plates/sticker Dec. 13 at 95th Street and Tulley Avenue, police said.

BURGLARY ARREST: Orlando C. Murray, 30, Chicago, was taken into custody on a burglary accusation Dec. 13 at the Markham police station, police said.

WARRANT SERVICE: Abel A. Aguilar, 25, 9000 block of Cicero Avenue, Oak Lawn, was taken into custody on an undisclosed warrant and accused of resisting a peace officer Dec. 14 in that block, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Racquel E. Alexander, 27, 3900 block of 115th Place, Alsip, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license Dec. 14 in the 11000 block of Pulaski Road, police said.

WARRANT SERVICE: Dorian L. Gordan, 42, Chicago, was taken into custody on an undisclosed warrant Dec. 14 in the 9400 block of Kedzie Avenue, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Melody M. Hardy, 41, Chicago, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, driving without a valid license and improper lighting/one headlamp Dec. 14 at 95th Street and 51st Avenue, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Samuel J. Pinkston, 35, Chicago, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, driving without insurance and no rear registration plate light Dec. 14 at 95th Street and McVicker Avenue, police said.

TRESPASSING: Jon Philip Bonamer, 64, 8800 block of Keeler Avenue, Hometown, was arrested and accused of criminal trespass to real property Dec. 15 in the 9100 block of Cicero Avenue, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Eugene L. Olszewski, 52, 10400 block of Southwest Highway, Worth, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license and driving too fast for conditions Dec. 15 in the 9400 block of Ridgeland Avenue, police said.

BATTERY ARREST: Jennifer L. Redfin, 28, 9800 block of Merrimac Avenue, Oak Lawn, was arrested and accused of battery Dec. 15 in the 11000 block of Kilbourn Avenue, police said.

NO LICENSE: Hector M. Rosas, 22, Chicago, was arrested and accused of driving without a valid license, driving without insurance and no rear registration plate light Dec. 15 at 107th Street and Cicero Avenue, police said.

DUI: Janet L. Spencer, 39, first block of Pine Lane, Glenwood, was arrested and accused of drunken driving, damaging public property and failing to yield turning left Dec. 15 at 105th Street and Cicero Avenue, police said.

WARRANT SERVICE: Antwan Johnson, 39, Chicago, was taken into custody on an undisclosed warrant and accused of obstructing identification Dec. 16 in the 9500 block of Cicero Avenue, police said.
