Solucia, Inc. Names Chris Birkmeyer as COO and Practice Leader
Hartford, CT – July 17, 2007 - Solucia, Inc. is pleased to announce that Christian Birkmeyer has joined the company as COO and Practice Leader of Solucia’s Healthcare Program Evaluation Practice.
“Chris brings extensive, ‘real world’ healthcare experience in working with MCOs, employers, and care management companies on program evaluation, improvement, and support “ said Ian Duncan, FSA, FIA, FCIA, MAAA, founder of Solucia. “Chris will build and lead a team of consultants specializing in the evaluation of care management programs; offering clients objective, verifiable analyses of program impact on cost and utilization.”
Prior to joining Solucia, Chris directed the Informatics Department at Health Dialog where he focused on measuring program performance, predictive modeling, and client reporting. Prior to that, he managed the Data Center for the Department of Surgery at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center developing clinical registries and measuring surgical outcomes and worked with The Leapfrog Group. He holds a B.S in accounting from the University of Connecticut and an M.S. in epidemiology/biostatistics from Dartmouth.
