Sen. Tillis Issues Statement on House Health Care Reform Bill
Targeted News Service (Press Releases)
WASHINGTON, March 7 -- Sen. Thom Tillis, R-N.C., issued the following statement on Congress' efforts to repeal Obamacare and reform the nation's broken health care system: "I look forward to closely reviewing the House plan to reform our nation's health care system. I have long said that any replacement must be an improvement over Obamacare, which has caused too many Americans to struggle with skyrocketing premiums and fewer choices.
"Reform must be aimed at improving health care outcomes for hardworking Americans by controlling costs and providing access to affordable care without the burden of costly mandates. "We cannot allow partisan politics to consume the health care policy debate. Even Obamacare's strongest supporters will acknowledge that Obamacare is on an unsustainable course, and major corrective action needs to be taken. My Republican colleagues would be making a mistake if they become content with failing to produce the perfect at the expense of achieving good, practical solutions to reform our nation's broken health care system."
