WASHINGTON, May 4 -- The office of Sen. John Thune, R-S.D., issued the following statement on House passage of the American Health Care Act:
"As Obamacare continues to collapse, it's clear the status quo is unsustainable. Choices for coverage are eroding as costs continue to rise. Congress must repeal Obamacare and replace it with patient-centered, affordable health care.
"Today the House of Representatives has taken a critical step in delivering relief for the American people.
"In the Senate, we will continue our work to build on the House's progress in repealing and replacing the broken system Obamacare created. Americans deserve better. I look forward to working with my colleagues in the Senate to ultimately relieve Americans from a health care system on the brink of collapse."
