Sen. Scott Introduces Bill on Community Accountability for Areas Damaged by Floods

WASHINGTON, July 13 -- Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., has introduced legislation (S. 2088) to amend the National Flood Insurance Act of 1968 to ensure community accountability for areas repetitively damaged by floods.
The bill was introduced on July 11 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Brian Schatz, D-Hawaii. It was referred to the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee.
