Sen. Moore Capito Introduces Bill on Coverage of Hearing Devices in Private Health Insurance Plans

WASHINGTON, Jan. 27 -- Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.Va., has introduced legislation (S. 41) to amend the Public Health Service Act, the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act "to require coverage of hearing devices and systems in certain private health insurance plans."
The bill was introduced on Jan. 25 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass. It was referred to the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee.
