Schumer Statement On Republicans Again Blocking Bipartisan Disaster Relief Legislation
Washington, D.C. - U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer today released the following statement after another Republican member of the House of Representatives blocked passage of the Senate-passed bipartisan disaster relief legislation :
"If anyone had any doubts about which party is blocking disaster aid, this should erase it all. One Republican pops up after the next to prevent disaster-impacted areas from receiving the aid they so desperately need. First it was President Trump, then Republican members of the Senate, and now it's Republican members of the House. Where are the Republicans who falsely blamed Democrats in the past for blocking this aid?"
