RSA Announces New Partners to Its Vet Referral Network

Targeted News Service (Press Releases)

LONDON, Aug. 9 -- RSA Insurance Group issued the following news release:

RSA, one of the UK's leading pet insurers, has added new partners to its nationwide Referral Vet Network - bringing the total number to 581.

The RSA Referral Vet Network was created to help to deliver affordable pet insurance for customers.

The new partners are:

* The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, The University of Edinburgh

* Earlswood Veterinary Referrals

* Eye Veterinary Clinic

* Kentdale Veterinary Orthopaedics

* Manchester Vet Specialists

* Veterinary Vision

* Vets Now Hospital Manchester

* Vetortho Referrals.

RSA underwrites pet insurance for over one million cats and dogs in the UK. The creation of the Vet Referral Network has enabled RSA to continue to provide competitively priced products and has served thousands of satisfied customers.

Network practices comprise large multi-disciplinary centres, including six with direct links to university teaching hospitals, independent practices and a number of corporate managed practices.

The new partners have increased the RSA Vet Referral Network's geographical scope and also its professional range. The Network now comprises the following clinicians:

* 249 'Specialists' as recognised by the RCVS plus

* 38 Diploma holders; and a further

* 144 Certificate holders / Advanced Practitioners.

Karl Helgesen, Claims Director for UK and Western Europe said:

"We welcome our latest partners to the Network and look forward to working closely with them to provide a first class service to our customers. These new additions mean that eight out of ten of our customers now have access to a Network partner within an hour's drive from their homes."

The Network continues to evolve and RSA is in the process of filling some more geographical and capability gaps.

Information about the practices that are part of the RSA Vet Referral Network can be found at www.morethan.com/pet-insurance/make-pet-claim

Footnotes:

1. RSA announced 52 partners in 2016. Since then one partner no longer has Cert/AVP capabilities and following acquisition one has chosen to leave bringing the total to 50.
