RICS Appoints Japan Chief Representative

By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at China Weekly News -- RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) announces the appointment of Mr Hajime Kojima as the Chief Representative in Japan. Mr Kojima assumed office on Monday 1 June, 2015.

Mr Kojima is responsible for overseeing RICS' business development and delivering business plans in Japan. Working closely with council and members in Japan, he will bring in global professional standards of the land, construction, property industries and built environment to Japan; promote the recognition of RICS standards and qualification; and expand RICS membership in the country.

Mr Kojima is a seasoned management professional in Japan's real estate and asset management industry. For the past 30 years, he served in the leadership team of a number of major global corporations including Nissan Motor Company and Cerberus Capital Management. He was the Managing Director of Manulife Life Insurance Company for eight years overseeing the asset portfolio of the company before he joined RICS. Mr Kojima was a graduate from the University of Washington in the United State of America.
