Rep. Mooney Praises West Virginia Federal Disaster Declaration

WASHINGTON, Aug. 3 -- Rep. Alex Mooney, R-West Virginia, issued the following news release:
Today, Congressman Alex X. Mooney praised President Donald Trump for signing a federal disaster declaration for flooding and mudslides that occurred on June 29th and 30th in Grant, Pendleton, Preston, Randolph, and Tucker Counties.
"I am very pleased to report President Trump has approved the federal disaster declaration for West Virginia. During my recent trip to Harman, I saw the immense need for this designation and was glad to join my West Virginia colleagues in fighting for this funding," said Congressman Mooney.
On July 24 2019, Congressman Mooney sent a letter urging President Trump to declare a federal disaster declaration for the counties of Grant, Pendleton, Preston, Randolph, and Tucker.
Congressman Mooney also joined local officials in Harman, West Virginia on July 31, 2019 for an update on flood recovery efforts.
