Rep. Maloney Encourages New Yorkers Who Need Health Coverage to Sign Up During Extended Open Enrollment Period

NEWBURGH, New York, Feb. 19 -- Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney, D-New York, issued the following news release on Feb. 18, 2021:

Representative Sean Patrick Maloney (NY-18) encourages New Yorkers who need quality, affordable health care to sign up during the extended Open Enrollment period, which now runs through May 15, 2021. The Open Enrollment period was extended by the Biden-Harris Administration to help individuals and families access health care and get covered during the ongoing health and economic crisis.

"As we continue to battle this virus it's important that families have access to quality, affordable health care plans. I applaud the extension of the Open Enrollment Period by the Biden-Harris Administration and urge every New Yorker to get covered by visiting HealthCare.gov today," said Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney.

New Yorkers can sign up to get covered or make changes to their current plans by visiting healthcare.gov or by calling 1-800-318-2596. The healthcare.gov website can also be used to see if individuals or families qualify for the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) or Medicaid.

Rep. Maloney's talented caseworkers can help individuals and families in the Hudson Valley navigate the Open Enrollment Period or connect them to a Marketplace-registered agent (Navigator) in a community near them.
