"We have an opportunity and an obligation to solve the climate crisis, and it is an honor to continue serving as a senior member of the Science, Space, and Technology Committee at this critical time when we will advance bold policies to protect our planet," said Congresswoman
"The Science Committee must also work to undo the harm caused by the previous administration's assault on science. As we strive to protect Americans facing severe public health threats from the pandemic and climate crisis, it is critical that policy decisions be based on the best available science. The committee will be working to restore the role of science in public policy, reestablish scientific integrity across federal agencies, and rebuild our federal science workforce."
Bonamici has been a member of the Science, Space, and Technology Committee since 2012. She is a leader on marine energy, protecting the health of our ocean and estuaries, ocean climate action, defending science from political attacks, and improving
