Austin, T.X. - With Texas as our nation's most uninsured state and thousands of our neighbors lacking health insurance,Monday, November 8, at 10 AM, Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D-TX), Chair of the House Ways and Means Health Subcommittee, will join Foundation Communities and Austin Mayor Steve Adler to share resources for Central Texans. As Open Enrollment begins, families can sign up to get Affordable Care Act (ACA) coverage.
With previous approval of the American Rescue Plan, ACA Marketplace coverage is even more affordable with millions of consumers eligible for zero premium insurance coverage for 2021. Open Enrollment lasts through January 15. To get the word out, local leaders will gather Monday to explain changes in the law and share how Texans can get affordable coverage immediately.
