Rep. Garamendi Introduces Bill to Allow Repair of Agricultural Structures

WASHINGTON, Jan. 30 -- Rep. John Garamendi, D-Calif., has introduced legislation (H.R. 830) to amend the National Flood Insurance Act of 1968 "to allow the repair, expansion, and construction, without elevation, of agricultural structures located in special flood hazard zones."
The bill was introduced on Jan. 29 and was co-sponsored by Rep. Doug LaMalfa, R-Calif. It was referred to the House Financial Services Committee.
