Rep. Doggett Introduces Bill to Amend Patient Protection & Affordable Care Act

WASHINGTON, April 21 -- Rep. Lloyd Doggett, D-Texas, has introduced legislation (H.R. 6532) to amend the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act "to require the Secretary of Health and Human Services to establish a special enrollment period during the COVID-19 emergency period and to carry out outreach and educational activities."
The bill was introduced on April 17 and was co-sponsored by Reps. Susan Wild, D-Pa., and Cheri Bustos, D-Ill. It was referred to the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
