Rep. Doggett: Federal Funds Fuel ACA Marketplace Open Enrollment Sign Up for Central Texans

WASHINGTON, Aug. 31 -- Rep. Lloyd Doggett, D-Texas, issued the following news release on Aug. 30, 2022:
U.S. Representative Lloyd Doggett (D-Austin) announces today that Foundation Communities has just received $1.4 million in federal funds through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to help Central Texans navigate open enrollment season for health insurance this fall. These funds are an increase of their current $1 million per year three-year grant.
"Our hardworking, impactful team at Foundation Communities is receiving additional federal backup to provide free, objective guidance to more Central Texans concerning which of many affordable health insurance plans best meet the needs of an individual family," said Congressman Doggett.
"After our recent work in Congress to keep Marketplace premiums low for millions of consumers, it is critical that our local navigators have the support they need to offer easily-accessible, multilingual services to everyone looking to get covered this season."
ACA Marketplace Open Enrollment will run from November 1 to January 15. Consumers can book an appointment to receive free counseling and enrollment assistance through Foundation Communities at foundcom.org or by calling 512-381-4520.
