Rep. Crist Introduces Bill on Funding Assistance to Reduce Flood Risks

WASHINGTON, March 9 -- Rep. Charlie Crist, D-Fla., has introduced legislation (H.R. 1610) to amend the National Flood Insurance Act of 1968 "to allow the Administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency to provide capitalization grants to States to establish revolving funds to provide funding assistance to reduce flood risks."
The bill was introduced on March 7 and was co-sponsored by Rep. Roger Williams, R-Texas. It was referred to the House Financial Services Committee.
