Oct. 3—A title insurance company recently opened in downtown Valparaiso.
Chicago-based Proper Title is expanding with the new office at 175 W. Lincolway. It serves the commercial and residential real estate industries.
Proper Title opened a temporary office in Valparaiso two years ago and found a 1,773-square-foot space on the second floor of the Stracks Bar and Grill building.
It hired senior escrow coordinator Natalie Coros and escrow coordinator Miranda Malone to staff the office. Coros has more than a decade of experience in the title industry, while Malone has worked in title insurance for eight years.
The company now employs eight title professionals at its Northwest Indiana locations in Valparaiso and at 322 Indianapolis Blvd. in Schererville.
