Princeton man named Young Agent of the Year by insurance association

Tyler Sandrock of Cornerstone Agency, Inc. in Tampico was named Young Agent of the Year by the Independent Insurance Agents of Illinois (IIA of IL) during the association's annual convention, Oct. 5-7 in Springfield.

Sandrock, a Princeton native, was presented with the Young Agent of the Year Award for demonstrating exceptional service to the insurance industry, professional trade associations and community.

Sandrock is the second generation in a family-owned agency. He began a career in insurance nine years ago and has received their Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist (AFIS) designations. Sandrock is a member of the Illinois Young Agents Committee and the Technology Committee, where he brings his insights and expertise to the forefront with every meeting. He is passionate about the independent agency system and doing their part to help the industry thrive.

Sandrock has traveled to the Big "I" Legislative Conference in Washington, DC, and has attended several Big "I" Young Agent Leadership conferences to bring information to his agency and his IIA of IL committees. In his agency, they are focused on expanding markets and products offered to better service their current and future clients.

Sandrock always lends a helping hand with any philanthropic events and fundraisers the association has and also co-hosts an annual golf outing for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Sandrock resides in Princeton with his wife, Megan, and three children.
