Politzer, People's Trust President/COO, to Retire at End of Year

People's Trust Insurance Company, one of Florida's leading home insurers, today announced the retirement of President and Chief Operating Officer Mitch Politzer, effective at the end of the year. Company co-founder and CEO George Schaeffer will add the duties of President to his responsibilities.

For more than five years, Politzer has helped guide the company through its start-up phase, and it has now emerged as one the state's biggest success stories. He will continue to serve People's Trust Insurance (PTI) in a new role as Vice Chair of the company's Board of Directors and chairman of its Audit Committee.

Schaeffer recognized Politzer for steering People's Trust to its current status, commenting, "Mitch has served an important role at People's Trust during its formative years. Under his leadership we have successfully launched our innovative way of doing business and positioned the company for future success."

Politzer, a long-time insurance executive, said, "What we've created at People's Trust is very special and helps provide affordable premiums and a simplified recovery process not available anywhere else. I'm proud of what we've accomplished during my tenure and I look forward to my continued involvement in PTI's enterprise strategy and corporate governance in my new role on the Board of Directors."
