Police Blotter: Unmanned vehicle crashes into building

A vehicle reportedly crashed into the north side of the Armstrong Corp. building around 10:45 a.m. Sunday on the 500 block of Elks Drive, causing around $15,000 in damage to the building.

The driver reportedly fell out of the vehicle and lost control, after which it rolled across the Ramada Grand Dakota Lodge parking lot, crossed the street and smashed into the building.

The driver was cited for not having insurance.

2 arrested after shots fired

A 37-year-old Hebron woman was arrested for driving under the influence, and a 30-year-old Dickinson man was arrested for reckless endangerment around 8:45 p.m. Sunday following a call about shots being fired near the 1400 block of Sixth Avenue Southeast.

An officer responded to the location and heard a shot discharged, along with squealing tires as a vehicle left the scene.

The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle, where he found the subjects. An investigation revealed the male as the one who allegedly fired the shot, a Class A misdemeanor.

Dickinson woman charged with possession of meth, controlled substance

Dickinson resident Ashlee Young, 26, was arrested during a traffic stop around 9:50 p.m. Friday around the 2200 block of West Sixth Avenue after police allegedly discovered small amounts of methamphetamine and alprazolam, a controlled substance. She was also allegedly found with meth paraphernalia.

Man arrested for meth paraphernalia, illegal concealed carry

Reeder resident Jeremy Mellmer, 31, was arrested around midnight Sunday at Rosie's Food and Gas after police allegedly found meth paraphernalia and marijuana meant for distribution in his vehicle.

Mellmer was also allegedly illegally carrying a concealed firearm.

2 arrested following altercation outside Esquire Club

Two Dickinson men were arrested as a result of an altercation that took place outside of Bernie's Esquire Club around 9:30 p.m. Thursday.

A 22-year-old man reportedly entered the establishment multiple times after being asked to leave. He then got into an altercation with security officers that moved to the alley on the side of the building.

After the man was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, police questioned an uninvolved man on the scene and realized he had an outstanding Dunn County arrest warrant. He was duly arrested and taken in.

BCI investigating Dickinson man for illegal possession

The North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigations is looking into a case concerning a 47-year-old Dickinson man who was arrested around 10:15 a.m. Friday at the Sierra Ridge apartments for possession of "illegal materials."

Dickinson Police Sgt. Dave Wallace said charges are expected to come from the state.

Suspicious person reported at Wal-Mart

Police responded to a call from Wal-Mart around 11:30 a.m. Friday that a suspicious male was hanging around the cash registers.

The subject was gone on arrival. Police believe he could have been trying to obtain PIN numbers, and they advise shoppers to be mindful of their personal information.

Juvenile reportedly physically assaulted

Dickinson Police are investigating an incident where a 15-year-old male was reportedly physically assaulted around 1:50 p.m. Friday at a residence on the 1400 block of East Second Avenue.

Girl treated at hospital following accident

A 15-year-old girl was treated and released from CHI St. Joseph's Health after a car rear-ended a pickup truck truck around 10 p.m. Saturday on the 300 block of West Fourth Street.

The driver of the car was cited for the accident.

Tablet stolen from vehicle

Police are investigating the theft of a tablet valued around $300 from a vehicle sometime before 1 a.m. Thursday on the 1500 block of East Third Avenue. There are no suspects.

Wallet and iPad taken from vehicle

A wallet and an iPad were taken from a vehicle parked on the 1000 block of Carroll Street sometime before 7 a.m. Thursday. Police are still investigating the incident, of which there are no suspects.

Man arrested after fighting with police officers

Police arrested Dickinson resident Brian Gordon, 35, after he scuffled with them around 9:45 a.m. Thursday following a domestic violence call from the Century Apartments complex on the 1100 block of West 21st Street.

One officer was examined and treated for an injury received in the scuffle before being relieved from duty for the day.

Gordon was charged with menacing, resisting arrest and preventing arrest.

Radar detector and iPad taken from vehicle

An iPad and a radar detector were reported stolen from a vehicle around 10:30 a.m. Thursday on the 1600 block of East Third Avenue.

The incident is under investigation by the Dickinson Police Department, and there are no suspects.

Vehicle vandalized with paint, eggs

A vehicle at the Century Apartments complex had paint and eggs poured onto it sometime before it was reported around 7:20 p.m. Thursday.

Around $200 in damage was done. The incident is under investigation by Dickinson Police, with no suspects.

Dickinson man arrested for simple assault

A 37-year-old Dickinson resident was arrested for simple assault around 9:15 p.m. Thursday after a domestic violence call was placed from the 200 block of A Street. A female involved in the altercations was taken to St. Joseph's for injuries.

Female taken to hospital after allegedly swallowing pills

A female was taken to St. Joseph's for evaluation around 11:45 p.m. Thursday after she allegedly took a handful of pills at the Century Apartment complex. Police were again called to the hospital around 1:30 a.m. Friday when the female began "acting up," according to Wallace.

DPD corporal becomes new School Resource Officer

The Dickinson Police Department announced Monday that Cpl. Joshua Monson was promoted to School Resource Officer.

Monson has been with the department since 2013 and has been active in the city's schools as a DARE officer.
