Police blotter: Guns drawn, taken into custody, and more [The Montana Standard, Butte]

Dec. 23—Guns drawn
Police arrived Wednesday in the 1700 block of Continental Drive to investigate a reported disturbance inside a recreational vehicle.
According to police reports, a woman was laying on the ground outside the RV when officers arrived. She told the police that Shane T. Newman, 56, of Butte had pulled out a gun and threatened to kill her. She in turn pulled a gun on him. A wrestling match ensued, and he allegedly choked her and tossed her out of the RV.
Newman was arrested for strangulation of partner or family member and partner or family member assault.
Taken into custody
* Cody M. Gavin, 33, of Butte was taken into custody Wednesday for theft, seat belt violation, outside warrant, no liability insurance and suspended driver's license.
* Adult Probation & Parole had an officer take Troy D. Hemen, 35, of Helena into custody Wednesday on an outside warrant.
* Chris A. Willis was arrested Wednesday for criminal possession of drug paraphernalia, no liability insurance and two criminal contempt offenses.
Recent reports
* The back window of 2012 Dodge Durango parked in the 800 block of South Main Street was busted and a backpack and textbooks were taken.
* A window at the Drunken Miner Saloon, 1800 Meadowlark Lane, was broken.
* Someone threw a brick at a house in the 1600 block of Dewey Boulevard.
