Setareh Pouraghabagher brings deep leadership experience and multi-generational workforce perspective to firm

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Point B, an integrated management consulting, digital services, venture investment, and real estate development firm, has announced the appointment of Setareh “SiSi” Pouraghabagher to its Board of Directors. In this role, Pouraghabagher will support Point B’s leadership team and influence strategies that help the firm’s growth and continue its best-in-class employee engagement. Pouraghabagher’s appointment expands Point B’s Board to nine members, and her successful history in leading world-class employee experiences and development, executive finance acumen, and operations expertise will extend the Board’s leadership capabilities.

Pouraghabagher is an accomplished, collegial, and networked leader with a diverse professional background serving shareholders, customers, and professional staff in public global organizations, privately held technology companies, public accounting, and higher education. She is a former CFO and COO for a $2B insurance division of Bank of America, as well as former CAO of QBE North America, a $6B division of QBE (ASX: QBE). Pouraghabagher also served as Executive Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Council for the North American division of QBE.

Through multiple acquisitions, integrations, and divestitures, Pouraghabagher developed the innate ability to view businesses strategically, while managing financial plans with risk tolerance in complex regulatory environments. She is known as a transparent and collaborative influencer who builds consensus and followership to drive top performance and strong organizational cultures.

Pouraghabagher currently serves as an independent director for State Auto Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: STFC). She is a designated financial expert and serves on the Audit, Nominating & Governance, Risk, and Independent Committee(s), which she chairs. She is also a CPA and faculty member at California Polytechnic’s (Cal Poly) College of Business, where she has annually earned Outstanding Educator of the Year awards from Deloitte, Ernst & Young, and KPMG for her contributions to educating and mentoring hundreds of Millennial and Generation Z students. She additionally serves on the Deans Advisory Council and the Diversity & Inclusion Council for the College of Business and is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD).
