North Carolina GOP: Kay Hagan’s Nonexistent Obamacare Accountability
| Targeted News Service |
It would be a grand understatement to say that Obamacare has been a bit of a sore subject for
Hagan cast the deciding vote for Obamacare and falsely promised North Carolinians that they could keep their plans if they like them on no fewer than 24 separate occasions.
But since Obamacare exchanges opened last October, Hagan has mightily struggled to defend her support for the law and explain why she repeatedly lied to her constituents.
In recent months, Hagan has responded to every question about her Obamacare record by either giving excuses, flip-flopping on her previous positions, or flat-out refusing to answer.
Earlier this week, Hagan held a press conference to announce that she is running for re-election. The event turned into a media circus once reporters asked her when she discovered that Obamacare would cause Americans to lose their health insurance plans.
Hagan wouldn't give an answer (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xUbIVl70Ow), and then proceeded to walk out of the building (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XI4lsfFoNjc), only to be followed by reporters who repeated (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kSypmqZUyEM) the question.
Perhaps the most honest answer Hagan has given was when she begrudgingly admitted that if given a chance to do it all over, she would still vote for Obamacare again.
* "But when pressed about whether she would back the health care law if she had another chance, Hagan said: 'Yeah, I would vote for it again.'" (
