MotorCare by Anderson Benson, First-of-its-Kind Bus Driver Deductible Forgiveness Insurance, Launched to Revolutionize Bus and Motor Coach Industry

The program's launch comes after three years of research and work with the bus and motor coach industry to deliver a product that would greatly benefit both drivers and employers.

"For bus drivers in the entertainment and charter industry, typically they are solely responsible for $10,000 to $25,000 deductibles on the buses they drive for their employers," said Brent Daughrity, partner at Anderson Benson and entertainment practice group lead. "Any repair on these vehicles is extremely expensive, so an accident can be crippling for a driver. For typically only three figures, our program will cover that deductible for drivers, potentially saving them tens of thousands of dollars in the case of an accident and protecting their livelihood in the process."

As noted, massive deductibles can be completely covered for a relatively nominal cost, giving drivers relief from the stress of covering a crippling deductible cost in the case of any accident. On top of this, as a bonus, bus and motor coach drivers will also be allotted $2,500 of personal coverage if, for example, anything personally owned is stolen from the cabin.

Anderson Benson has struck an exclusive deal with Sompo International to offer the program nationwide. Currently, the firm is focused on working directly with bus and motor coach companies so that employers can comprehensively offer the product to all of its drivers.
