Jora Gleason and her husband Zach Carman had been house hunting for months in their hometown of Spokane, Washington, with little success. Everything in their price range "needed some fixes," Gleason said. But in July, the couple, both in their early 20 s, looked at a home near the city's Garland District "and just loved it," said Gleason, a registered nurse.
