Meow Wolf in Grapevine is hiring for 80 jobs. Here’s what it’s offering as starting pay [Fort Worth Star-Telegram]

Meow Wolf is hiring for its fourth immersive art exhibit at Grapevine Mills opening this summer — a total of 80 positions paying $18 an hour, more than double the minimum wage in Texas.

The Santa Fe, New Mexico, arts and entertainment company has been creating large-scale interactive and immersive art installations since 2008. Through the new 29,000-square-foot Grapevine “portal,” visitors will be transported into a magical world of color and creativity. It will feature 30 Texas-based artists.

“The Meow Wolf story universe is expanding, and Texas holds the keys to our next chapters,” said Jose Tolosa, CEO of Meow Wolf, in a press release when the opening was announced. “Opening a permanent exhibition in the largest and one of the most diverse states in the country has been on Meow Wolf’s radar for years, and we are excited to be formally underway.”

It allows you to “bring your absolute best and most imaginative self to a workplace full of wonder.” Opportunities range from business, finance, facilities and operations to creative design, wardrobe, fabrication and construction. You must be at least 18 years old to work at Meow Wolf.

“The countdown is on to our opening this summer!” said Kelly Schwartz, general manager of Meow Wolf Grapevine, earlier this year. “We are hiring like mad and the construction barriers that have been put up at Grapevine Mills can barely hold the collective imagination within. I can’t wait for you to see what we are creating for you.”

Currently, there are three types of hourly positions available at Meow Wolf Grapevine, starting at $18 an hour.

Food & Beverage Team Member:The Food & Beverage Team Member creates a fantastic experience for guests who visit the Meow Wolf Cafe, reporting to the Retail Manager. They will have an expansive knowledge of Meow Wolf products, prepare and serve cafe offerings and ensure guests make informed decisions about available cafe offerings.
