CMCS is currently working a procurement for a new contract to develop a single comprehensive system that will subsume the roles of both the MBES/CBES and IBNRS along with other financial rudimentary processes providing a platform for future enhancements. The new contract will support the development of the new Medicaid and CHIP Financial System (MACFin) as well as the necessary operations and maintenance requirements until MACFin in operational. During this procurement process the existing MBES-CBES will need to continue to provide critical operations and maintenance support from January 30, 2018 through September 29, 2018 and transition support to the new contractor from September 30, 2018 through December 29, 2018.
