The American Land Title Association'sGood Deeds Foundation has awarded $5,000 to Matt's Place Foundation, Inc. in Coeur d'Alene.
"We are honored to be the recipient of this grant from the ALTA Good Deeds Foundation," said Theresa Whitlock-Wild, co-founder of Matt's Place Foundation, Inc. "Our organization will use this grant to provide mortgage and rent, remodeling and ramp assistance to those with ALS that lack the means to remodel their home."
Denise Potts, CFO of Kootenai County Title Company, Inc., nominated the nonprofit to receive the grant because of the organization's efforts to provide hope, housing and assistance to families dealing with ALS.
Matt's Place Foundation, Inc. is one of 26 nonprofit organizations across the U.S. that received a grant this month from the ALTA Good Deeds Foundation.
"We are grateful that, because of our members, the Foundation is able to continue its meaningful work and make an impact in so many communities," Tomb said.
ALTA is the national trade association representing the land title insurance industry and founded the Good Deeds Foundation in 2020.
Land title insurance professionals can apply for grants on behalf of recognized 501(c)(3) organizations they support financially or through volunteer efforts.
