Managed-care change sparked new Medicaid enrollment that began Monday
Medicaid beneficiaries need to enroll in the new system to continue receiving benefits.
Enrollment for Medicaid managed care began on Monday in 27 counties, including
Enrollment packets were mailed to Medicaid beneficiaries in June. The packets give three steps to enroll. First, choose a primary care provider. That may be your family doctor, a clinic or other health care provider.
Second, choose a health plan in N.C. Medicaid Managed Care that your provider works with. A chart for comparing plans was included in the packet sent to beneficiaries.
Third, enroll in one of the following ways:
--Mail the enrollment form in the envelope that came in the packet.
--Fax the form to 1-833-898-9655.
--Enroll online at ncmedicaidplans.gov.

Medicaid beneficiaries may also obtain assistance in the enrollment process by calling the state-level Medicaid Managed Care Call Center at 833-870-5500 or visiting ncmedicaidplans.gov.
