LERETA Provides Legislative Updates from One Online Site

Business Wire

COVINA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- LERETA, a leading national real estate tax and flood service provider, now provides clients with the latest information on newly introduced and enacted regulations regarding tax and flood on its LERETAnet website. LERETA clients can review and track legislation that could affect their portfolio as well as the services they receive from LERETA.

In addition to tax and flood information, the company’s Audit, Compliance and Risk Services department also provides legislative information regarding escrow accounts, private mortgage insurance, assessment and loan servicing.

“At LERETA, we believe that tax service can be much more than it has been historically,” said John Walsh, CEO. “For the past several years we’ve been focused on reinventing this industry. The biggest part of this has been the new technologies we’ve brought to market that allows us to provide demonstrably better service than the frankly abysmal level that is provided to most servicers and borrowers today. Being a better partner to our clients, however, isn’t just about technology. We listen to our clients and understand that one thing that concerns them the most is changing regulations. This latest additional service helps our clients with that concern and is another step in our journey to change this business.”

Knowing what is on the regulatory horizon will help clients be aware of change and how it affects them. Clients will have the opportunity to share regulatory and legislative information with their internal legal team for analysis. Legislation that could affect LERETA services will be reviewed by the LERETA’s operations department.

“Our goal is to keep our clients informed because real estate tax laws are constantly changing,” Walsh added.
