Law Firm of Stewart J. Guss Launches Fundraiser to Help Local Officers Impacted by Harvey
In explaining his desire to help,
The campaign is specifically aimed at helping four sheriff's deputies deal with losses associated with damage to their homes as a result of the storm and flood, most or all of which was not covered by insurance. The four deputies are:
- Deputy
Wesley Martin – Deputy Martin's home near a river basin was completely destroyed. -
Chris Wood – Officer Wood's just-purchased home was severely damaged in the storm and was unable to be salvaged. He had not yet purchased homeowner's insurance at the time of the storm. -
Carry Gray – Officer Gray's home near a river basin sustained extensive damage in the storm. After the flooding, the entire first floor of his home was under water. -
Brent Kay – Officer Kay's home was completely destroyed by flooding.
As first responders, these sheriff's deputies were out helping others while their own lives were being seriously impacted by the devastation. This fundraising effort is Attorney
