"I've worked for a Brightway Agency for the past three years and am looking forward to bringing the brand and a better way to buy insurance to Lake Norman," said Erdmann. "We offer expert counsel and more choice in insurance brands that allows us to shop around to ensure you get the coverage you need at the best price."

"We love the community and have been looking forward to opening a business that will help our friends and neighbors protect their homes, cars and valuables," Abberger added.

Prior to opening the Agency in Mooresville, Erdmann enjoyed earning consumers' trust as an Agent at one of Brightway's top-producing Agencies, located in Fort Myers, Fla. He studied Marketing at Pensacola Christian College, in Pensacola, Fla. He and his wife, Whitney, have been married for 10 years and have three children. Erdmann is involved in his church and also enjoys playing pickup basketball and spending time on the lake with his family.

Abberger also attended Pensacola Christian College, earning a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education and becoming an ordained minister in 2012. He comes to Brightway with five years' experience in sales at Lake Norman Floors. Abberger has been a pastor and youth leader for nearly 10 years. He and wife, Heather, have been married 13 years and have three children. Abberger is an active member of Piedmont Baptist Church in Kannapolis, N.C. He enjoys coaching soccer at Lowe's YMCA in Mooresville, bow-hunting and playing basketball. As Brightway Agency Co-Owners, Erdmann and Abberger look forward to building a network and positive reputation as the No. 1 source for insurance in their community.

"We're extremely pleased to see Ken Erdmann grow professionally through Brightway, taking the next step to become an Agency Owner in partnership with his brother-in-law, Mike Abberger," said Brightway President, Talman Howard. "We have hundreds of insurance professionals available to ensure their customers enjoy world-class customer service and to provide backend support so they can focus on finding the right policies for each and every customer."

Brightway Agency Owners enjoy comprehensive business support including customer service, carrier relationships, marketing, accounting and technology. As a result of their focus on growing new business, Brightway agencies consistently outsell other insurance agencies three-to-one.*
