Jill Yegian, Ph.D., Joins Brown & Toland Physicians as Vice President of Public Policy and Strategic Initiatives

OAKLAND, Calif., Feb. 22, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Brown & Toland Physicians, a leading network of Bay Area doctors in private practice, announced earlier this month that Jill Yegian, Ph.D., has joined the company as vice president of Public Policy and Strategic Initiatives.

Dr. Yegian previously was a senior vice president for Programs and Policy at the Integrated Healthcare Association (IHA). Prior to the IHA, she co-directed the American Institutes for Research's (AIR) Health Policy and Research Group, where she was responsible for strategic planning for the group, leading multiple proposals and projects on topics including the consumer use of quality and cost information for decision-making and health insurance exchanges.

Dr. Yegian also spent 13 years with the California HealthCare Foundation, where she worked to improve the state's financing and delivery systems for health care. She earned a bachelor's degree in human biology from Stanford University and a Ph.D. in health services and policy analysis from the University of California - Berkeley.
