Insurance Defense Lawyers Alaine Greenberg, Brian Koch Join Holland & Knight in South Florida

Targeted News Service (Press Releases)

MIAMI, Florida, Feb. 11 -- Holland and Knight, a law firm, issued the following news release:

Holland & Knight has added two prominent insurance defense partners to its Miami and Fort Lauderdale offices. Alaine Greenberg has joined the firm in Miami and Brian Koch has joined in Fort Lauderdale. They previously practiced at Greenberg Traurig.

In December, Holland & Knight also welcomed insurance litigators Brandon Williams and Kalpesh Mehta from Foley & Lardner in Miami. In February 2019, the firm added 12 attorneys from Akerman who specialize in insurance investigation and fraud litigation.

"Alaine and Brian are highly regarded litigators who have a very substantial insurance defense practice," said Adolfo Jimenez, head of Holland & Knight's South Florida Litigation Practice. "Their arrival at the firm solidifies our first-class insurance industry practice with the top practitioners in South Florida. We are thrilled to have them on our roster."

"We are extremely pleased that Alaine and Brian will be joining us and we look forward to working together," said senior counsel Brandon Williams.

Ms. Greenberg has handled thousands of cases with a special concentration on insurance defense matters. Ms. Greenberg earned a J.D. degree from American University Washington College of Law and an A.B. degree from Smith College.

Mr. Koch represents clients in the area of commercial litigation, specifically focusing on business, employment and insurance disputes. Mr. Koch earned a J.D. degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and a B.A. degree from the University of Florida. Additionally, Mr. Koch is the current President of the Federal Bar Association's Broward Chapter.

"We are excited to begin this new phase of our careers, surrounded by old friends and peers who share a strong commitment to insurance industry clients," said Ms. Greenberg.

"I'm continually impressed by Holland & Knight's involvement in the community and the professionalism of the attorneys, many of whom I've met through outside organizations," said Mr. Koch. "I look forward to practicing law and growing client relationships with them."

Holland & Knight has nearly 80 litigators in its Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach offices practicing in the areas of complex commercial litigation, class actions, appeals, international litigation and arbitration, securities litigation, product liability, white collar and enforcement defense, labor and employment, alternative dispute resolution and media law. With nearly 500 attorneys firmwide, Holland & Knight's litigation practice is one of the largest in the country.
