INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana, Nov. 19 -- The Indiana House Democrats issued the following news on Nov. 18, 2021:

State Rep. Chris Campbell (D-West Lafayette), Democratic member of the House Standing Committee on Financial Institutions and Insurance, renewed her call for affordable health insurance for Hoosier families following a report that premium rates are rising faster than those of inflation and wages.
"For 3.5 million Hoosiers, employer-sponsored health insurance is the only affordable option," Campbell said.
"The COVID-19 pandemic has strained every aspect of Hoosier budgets and now working families are facing the very real possibility of not being able to afford their health insurance, even with their employers' help. Improving the health of our state and our constituents should be a top priority for all state leaders. As we move into the 2022 Legislative Session, I will support legislation that works to lower health insurance and promotes equitable access to health care."
