Ict Newscast with Aliyah Chavez (if DELAYED) from 00:27 to 00:32 in US/Arizona

PBS 8 (Phoenix, AZ)

Now, a lot of you know when it comes to long-term care insurance, that premiums, if you have a long-term care insurance policy, has skyrocketed on you over the past few years. So if you buy long-term care insurance, you have to factor in that if you're paying $4,000 a year for it, you may be paying $8,000 a year a few years from now. Can you afford it? But I can tell you this: that out of all the years that you pay for your premium, it will be less than you will pay for one year in a nursing home. So if you can afford long-term care insurance from the time you purchase it, all the way through, I would absolutely go ahead and do so. Alright, we are going to take a break, and when we come back, I'm going to continue to answer your questions. [cheers & applause] Hello, I'm Ernie Manouse, there's still so much more of the program to come, but I have someone important to introduce to you, not only New York Times best-selling author So important! So Important! Not only Emmy Award winner, not only the host of "Women and Money" podcast, the person who has stood here for 20 years and helped guide us into our financial independence, but as we like to just call her, Suze. Thank you so much! Aw Ernie, thank you and for all of you, now I want you to look in front of me. This is, this is what's waiting for you. I know, I know, you're thinking, I'm going to tell you about what every one of these is and how much you should, no, no, no. Here's what we're going to do. You have to understand that this is the most important, important time of your life, 'cause this is the time that we are marching into the retirement years. And this show was created just for you. So before we talk about all the gifts that you can get, I really want you to sit back and I want you to watch the show. I want you to listen to everything that goes on in this show because what happens in this show is magnified 10 times right here. 'Cause our intention of this show is that every single one of you can walk into your retirement years or be in your retirement years or just experience your retirement years with a lot of love and happiness and health. And that is the intention behind this show. So I thank you all for tuning in, I thank you all for sticking with us here, and Ernie, I thank you for all the times that you have done this with us. It's my honor. I do have a question for you. This book isn't called The great retirement guide, it's not called the cool, it's called The "Ultimate," why "Ultimate?" And actually this show is called the "Ultimate Retirement Guide" because the ultimate is the best. And I just have to tell you, out of all the things I've done over all these years, right in front of you, I am delivering to you the ultimate, the best information that I have put in one place. So this is the best that it gets and you deserve the best. You deserve the best. Here's the question--

are you willing to give yourself the best so that you can experience, experience your future and your present in the way that it's meant to be? That's what's happening on this show. First time I've ever done something just for those 50, 60, 70 and older, so take advantage of it because this show, this show, is for you. So we're going to give it a moment here, we're going to let you get back to the show, we'll be back shortly and go through all of these thank-you gifts. You betcha, but first you gotta watch the show, just a little more of it. Enjoy, we'll be back soon. Thank you Alright, let's take a question. I have a good-looking man right there. Yes sir? Hi Suze, welcome to Miami. (Suze) Thank you. With increased longevity, and if one does not have a pension, how does one know when to retire? Because I'm really not sure one can really measure that because we don't know how long we're going to live and I'm not necessarily sure we can save enough to retire. Great, let's talk about your life expectancy. My mother, God rest her soul now, 7 years ago, lived till 97 years of age. The most important thing that you should all understand in reaching the ultimate retirement is that most probably you are going to live until your late 80s, early or late 90s.
