Human Interest Launches Partner Program with New Portal For Client Management

PR Newswire

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 17, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Human Interest, an automated 401(k) provider based in San Francisco, CA, today announced the launch of their Partner Program, newly integrated with a Partner Portal. The new Partner Portal is designed to serve as the user interface for partners to manage their client referrals. Human Interest offers a low-cost and online 401(k) solution for the small business market, and many small companies typically rely on outsourced firms to help manage their 401(k) plans.

The Partner Portal is now fully integrated into the Human Interest Partner Program and is designed to enable Human Interest partners to easily set up and manage a fully-automated and online retirement solution for their clients. Financial advisors, benefits advisors and consultants, and benefits brokers can participate in the Partner Program by signing up online and taking advantage of exclusive partner pricing and deals. With access to the Partner Portal, Human Interest partners have the ability to refer small business clients, track statuses on client referrals, manage revenue share agreements, and update contact, payment, and other user information.

"We are very excited to launch our new Partner Portal developed to streamline our Partner Program for our partners and their clients. With the new portal, our partners will now have the ability to provide their small business clients with a 401(k) experience that is optimized and enhanced for the partner's business strategy and the clients' 401(k) needs," said Roger Lee, Human Interest CEO and Co-founder. "Because of our innovative approach to 401(k) planning, Human Interest has the ability to partner with leading financial and benefits advisors and help them capitalize on the underserved small business market by being able to easily provide their clients with an online 401(k) plan."

Human Interest currently works with partners across the small business ecosystem, including financial advisors, small group benefits brokers, accountants, payroll companies and many more. Current partners include Countsy (Accretive Solutions) and Sequoia Consulting Group, among others.

Available to all qualified partners, the Partner Portal enables participating partners to manage their clients with the following features and services:

  • Modernized 401(k) Approach: A fully online experience for onboarding and managing plans.
  • Back-office Support for New Plans: For 1st-time plans or plans with no or low assets (under $50,000), Human Interest will provide HR and compliance services.
  • Revenue Share: Human Interest offers several revenue share opportunities as a part of the Partner Program.
  • Fiduciary Responsibility: Human Interest can act as either 3(38) or 3(21) fiduciary to accommodate different investment strategies from our advisor partners.
  • Exclusive Pricing for Partners: Transparent, low fees for their clients, as well as additional discounts.

Human Interest has a dedicated team to support Partner Program participants with their retirement planning needs, including 401(k) or 403(b) planning and troubleshooting issues with clients.

"We recognize the tremendous value in partnering with financial and benefits advisors to work together to provide small businesses with the opportunity to implement affordable and online retirement savings plans for their employees," Lee said. "The most commonly cited reasons for businesses not being able to offer a 401(k) are cost and administrative overhead from existing 401(k) options provided by large financial institutions. Our intuitive user experience and innovative approach are what set us apart and make us a great solution for small businesses who rely on external partners to make a 401(k) possible."

Only 14% of small businesses in the United States are able to offer 401(k)s to their employees. Human Interest's automated and online 401(k) solution makes it possible for all companies, no matter their size, to offer a high-quality 401(k) plan as a part of a competitive benefits package.
