Hoyer Statement on the Last Day of Open Enrollment for 2018

HOYER: I AM URGING ALL AMERICANS TO VISIT THE WEBSITE TODAY TO REVIEW THEIR OPTIONS

WASHINGTON, DC - House Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer (MD) released the following statement today on the last day of the 2018 open enrollment period on HealthCare.Gov:

"Today is the last day of the open-enrollment period to sign up for health insurance coverage beginning in January 2018 through www.healthcare.gov. I am urging all Americans - if they have not already done so - to visit the website today to review their options. Even for Americans who already have coverage, it's important for everyone to log on to ensure they have a plan that best meets their budget and their needs.

"Americans are looking to Congress to work across the aisle to bring down health care costs and ensure that the benefits of the Affordable Care Act are extended to all. It's no surprise that Republicans' partisan efforts to repeal the law and turn the clock back have been deeply unpopular throughout the country. In Congress, Democrats will continue to defend the Affordable Care Act and the benefits it provides to millions of Americans while pushing to enact bipartisan measures that will inject greater certainty and stability into the marketplace."
