As I listen to Rob Quist, I appreciate the dignity and respect for facts shown in his campaign. The dark and deceitful ads from Greg Gianforte and party are offensive.
Quist respects the women of Montana, pledging to fight for our healthcare issues and continued health insurance coverage, essential for Montana families to succeed. Government intrusion into gun ownership seems to be more important to Gianforte than the reproductive privacy of women.
This spring in Washington, D.C., we have learned that a woman's health is expendable, proven by the latest attempt to defund Planned Parenthood, even throwing in the "bonus" of dropping maternity care! Health care for women should not be "optional."
If lowering the number of unintended pregnancies is a goal; it is critical to begin with factual education on family planning, affordable STD and cancer screenings and accessible birth control. Healthier women lead to healthier families, which ultimately lead to a healthier economy.
Mothers, sisters and wives - we all must stand together and vote for Rob Quist on May 25.
