Hephzibah man indicted on exploitation of a disabled adult

May 5—A Hephzibah man has been indicted for allegedly exploiting a disabled relative by taking her money and her personal identity information, and applying for a life insurance policy in her name.
A Richmond County grand jury returned an indictment Tuesday charging Joshua M. Martin, 38, of the 4800 block of McCombs Road with the crimes of exploitation and intimidation of a disabled or elderly adult, identity fraud, forgery, and financial card fraud.
According to the indictment, the alleged crimes occurred on May 20 and between June 22 and 29.
