Health Partners Plans Names Highly Respected Managed Long-Term Care Expert to Lead New Line of Business

Business Wire

New Business Will Enable Individuals to Maintain Dignity and Independence as They Age in Place

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- As Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf introduces a model for managed long-term services and supports (MLTSS) in Pennsylvania, Health Partners Plans (HPP) today announced plans to expand its current business to include MLTSS for eligible individuals.

HPP’s MLTSS program enables the company to expand its mission of assisting individuals in achieving their best health outcomes while allowing them to live in the most integrated, least restrictive care setting. Services and supports will be based upon each member’s unique needs, which extend beyond typical health-related issues to include social, behavioral and community needs.

Leading HPP’s program is highly respected MLTSS expert Patricia Wright. In her role as vice president of Managed Long-Term Services and Supports, Ms. Wright is responsible for program design, product development and implementation of the new line of business.

“Ms. Wright is creating an MLTSS program which will ensure that individuals have a key role in defining the direction of their health care and, ultimately, their quality of life,” said president and CEO William S. George.

Ms. Wright joins HPP with more than 25 years of health care experience. She worked with Delaware’s Division of Medicaid & Medical Assistance as the state developed and successfully implemented MLTSS. Her extensive background includes operational implementation, development of policies and procedures and overall management of new MLTSS lines of business.

“According to Pennsylvania’s Department of Human Services, 95 percent of Pennsylvanians want to age in their homes,” said Ms. Wright. “Our goal is to enable person-centered care and increase opportunities for community based services that allow individuals to reside in their own communities where they can maintain independence and dignity.”

Ms. Wright graduated from West Chester University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. She grew up in the Delaware County area.
