Has your Louisiana homeowners' insurance gotten too expensive? Share your experience. [The Advocate, Baton Rouge, La.]
Advocate, The (Baton Rouge, LA)
May 28—The Advocate — The Times-Picayune is reporting on how Louisiana's homeowners insurance crisis is affecting you.
To bolster our reporting, we're trying to collect policy documents from homeowners across the state.
We're specifically looking for the cost of homeowners insurance premiums, deductibles, coverage limits and replacement costs of the home. Ideally, we'd like policy documents from 2020 or earlier, as well as from 2024, to be able to measure how things have changed for homeowners.
We are sourcing these documents to identify trends in people's homeowners insurance policies, which have gotten more expensive, even as deductibles rise and coverages decrease.
If you're interested in sharing information with us, please fill out the Google form below. We won't publish any documents in full, and we will reach out to you before using them in our reporting.
And if you have tips or information we should know about property insurance, please share at the end.
If you are able to share policy documents directly with us, please do so at this link.
If not, please fill out the Google form below.
