Grinnell Mutual Affiliates Receive NAMIC Recognition

The National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) recognized several farm mutual staff and directors during its 2016 Annual Convention in September. Several Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company employees and affiliates were awarded designations, elected to serve on NAMIC boards, or were inducted into the NAMIC Merit Society. Grinnell Mutual congratulates the following individuals for their professional designations and industry involvement.

Professional Farm Mutual Managers
To become a professional farm mutual manager, participants must be active in the management of a farm mutual company with at least five years of property insurance experience, attend a NAMIC educational event, and complete the Strategic Business Management, Underwriting and Claims, and Financial management courses.

Farm Mutual Director Certification
To become a certified farm mutual director, participants must be an active director of a farm mutual company, complete four courses from each of three areas -- Management, Operations and Insurance, and Finance and Accounting, and complete continuing education classes to maintain the designation.
